Why EASA certification?
The Electrical Apparatus Service Assocation (www.easa.org) is a non-profit organisation responsible for the certification and qualification of electric motors, generators and other rotating electrical equipment. EASA is an independent organisation representing the interests of manufacturers, distributors, repairers and users of electric motors, generators and related rotating electrical equipment.
EASA’s mission is to promote the safe and reliable performance of electric motors and generators. It does this by developing industry standards, providing technical information and training, and certifying and qualifying electric motors, generators and related equipment.
EASA’s certification programme provides users of electric motors and generators with assurance that the products they buy meet established industry standards for safety, reliability and performance. In addition, EASA’s qualification programme helps ensure that repair and rewinding workshops have the necessary knowledge, skills and facilities to repair and maintain electric motors and generators safely and effectively.
In short, EASA (The Electromechanical Authority) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that certifies and qualifies electric motors, generators and other rotating electrical equipment to ensure safety, reliability and performance. It also provides technical support and training for manufacturers, distributors, repairers and users of electric motors and generators.
