{"id":7695,"date":"2023-03-10T16:49:25","date_gmt":"2023-03-10T15:49:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.therotating.company\/?p=7695"},"modified":"2023-07-10T16:53:23","modified_gmt":"2023-07-10T14:53:23","slug":"from-1-july-2023-from-75kw-ie4-onwards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.therotating.company\/en\/from-1-july-2023-from-75kw-ie4-onwards\/","title":{"rendered":"From 1 July 2023, from 75kW IE4 onwards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We would like to inform you that from 1 July 2023, new electric motors with an output between 75kW and 200kW must comply with the IE4 standard.<\/p>\n<p>This as the second stage according to the European Union regulation EU 2019\/1781.<\/p>\n<p>Stage 1: all motors between 0.75 &#8211; 1,000 kW, 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-pole, must comply with the IE3 Premium efficiency class from 1 July 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Phase 2: all motors between 75 &#8211; 200 kW, 2-, 4-, and 6-pole, must comply with the IE4 Super[1]Premium efficiency class as of 1 July 2023<\/p>\n<p>As a critical service partner, together with a number of experts, we have our own take on this.<\/p>\n<p>IE4 motors are certainly energetically and therefore economically interesting for a number of applications or in combination with frequency control.<\/p>\n<p>However, there are quite a few applications where the energy costs can increase when using IE4 motors, such as pumps and fans that are directly online.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the higher rated speed of these motors, the power delivered to the output shaft increases, so an IE4 motor may have a net higher energy consumption than an IE3 motor.<\/p>\n<p>A more detailed explanation of this can be found here in this article.<\/p>\n<p>Definitely also take into account that IE4 motors are a lot bigger and heavier and therefore cannot always be installed where an IE3 motor used to be.<\/p>\n<p>If you still wish to purchase IE3 motors, we recommend deciding before the end of March.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the upcoming change in regulations, there is currently a spike in demand and lead times may be longer&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We would like to inform you that from 1 July 2023, new electric motors with an output between 75kW and 200kW must comply with the IE4 standard.
